It builds directly on\u003cstrong\u003e Lab 01\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e(LEDs, buzzer, servo, IR sensors) and\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLab 02\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e(LCD over I2C), so you should finish those first.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUntil now, our system had one big weakness —\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eanyone\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ewith a car could drive in. Real parking lots are not like that. A company parking, a VIP zone, a residential gate, a school staff area — they all need to know\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewho\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eis asking to enter, not just\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethat\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ea car is there.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn L\u003cstrong\u003eab 03\u003c\/strong\u003e we add an\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRFID RC522 \u003c\/strong\u003ereader\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eand a small set of\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRFID cards \/ key tags\u003c\/strong\u003e. Each card carries a unique number called a\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eUID.\u003c\/strong\u003e When a driver taps a card, the Arduino reads the \u003cstrong\u003eUID\u003c\/strong\u003e, checks it against a list of authorized cards, and only then opens the gate. Unknown cards are rejected the \u003cstrong\u003eLCD \u003c\/strong\u003eshows\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\"Access Denied\"\u003c\/span\u003e, and the gate stays closed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo new technical ideas appear here for the first time. The first is\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSPI \u003c\/strong\u003ecommunication\u003c\/span\u003e, a different protocol from the \u003cstrong\u003eI2C\u003c\/strong\u003e you used for the \u003cstrong\u003eLCD\u003c\/strong\u003e. The second is the idea of a\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewhitelist\u003c\/span\u003e storing a list of allowed UIDs and comparing them byte by byte.
