Product Description

Have you ever worried about home security, unauthorized access, or the risk of fire when no one is around? How can technology help make homes safer and smarter?

The Smart Home Kit empowers beginners to learn real-world home automation through hands-on projects. Designed for electronics enthusiasts, this comprehensive kit features the Lab Series curriculum, progressing from foundational concepts to practical smart home applications.

This kit delivers three essential competencies:

  1. Reinforce your problem solving skill, by getting started with the designing the algorithm
  2. Getting started with Arduino programming fundamentals and core coding principles
  3. Control servo motor and manage multiple outputs including, buzzer, and LED indicators, and process digital signals from various sensors

Lab Curriculum

Short-Guide Lab 01: Smart Door Alarm
4.8

Lab 01: Smart Door Alarm

Basic Included
1h SKU: LBSHP001

Lab 01: Smart Door Alarm is the first project in the Smart Home Lab Series.  This Door Alarm System is designed to improve room security by detecting and alerting users to possible intrusions. It uses a door sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, and a buzzer to monitor activity at the entrance. When the door is opened by outsider, the system activates the buzzer to warn people inside the room. However, the system can also recognize when someone is leaving from the inside. If movement is detected by the ultrasonic sensor and a button is pressed, the system understands that the user is exiting and will not trigger the alarm. Additionally, LED indicators are used to display the system’s status, making it easy for users to know whether the alarm is active.

Short-Guide Lab 02: Smart Door Access System
4.8

Lab 02: Smart Door Access System

Basic Premium
1h SKU: LBSHP002

Lab 02: Smart Door Access System is the second project in the Smart Home Lab Series.  This Smart Door Access System is designed to improve room security by identifying authorized users. It uses an RFID reader to detect authorized RFID Tag/Cards at the entrance, a servo motor as the door opening mechanism, and a buzzer to provide sound alerts. When an authorized RFID tag is scanned, the system grants access by opening the door using the servo motor, and a green LED lights up to indicate successful authentication. However, if an unauthorized tag is scanned, the system denies access, the door remains closed, a buzzer sounds an alert, and a red LED lights up to indicate unauthorized access.

Short-Guide Lab 03: Smoke Detector

Lab 03: Smoke Detector

Basic Coming Soon
1h SKU: LBSHP003

🚀 Coming Soon! This product is not yet available for purchase. Stay tuned for the launch! Lab 03: Smoke Detector is the third project in the Smart Home Lab Series. This project presents the design and implementation of an enhanced smoke detection system using an Arduino Uno microcontroller. The system integrates multiple sensors, including a gas sensor to detect harmful gases (smoke) and a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor to detect human presence. Then every time the smoke is detected, the system signal buzzer to alert sound alarm immediately. Additionally, two LEDs were used to visualize real-time situation which red is for emergency, while blue is for human's present.

Short-Guide Lab 04: Auto Clothes Collection

Lab 04: Auto Clothes Collection

Basic Coming Soon
1h SKU: LBSHP004

🚀 Coming Soon! This product is not yet available for purchase. Stay tuned for the launch! Lab 04: Auto Clothes Collecting System is the forth project in the Smart Home Lab Series. The system integrates mainly a rain sensor and a servo motor. The rain sensor detect real-time weather raining or not, then signal to Arduino to activate servo motor move clothes back under the roof.
